I emailed the AT&T CEO the other day to voice my opinion about the new data plans and to bitch about how texting should be included in an "unlimited data" plan. Got a call back today from someone at AT&T hq who happened to be a pretty cool dude and he agreed with me that the new data plans are bogus and reccomended against switching to the new plans. Also said he thought it was stupid that they removed texting from the data plans (I guess the first iPhone had some texting included).

I'm guessing this guy is probably just paid to call people back and be agreeable/sympahetic but whatever. He said he just takes what we talked about and forwards it on to marketing so they can decided what people want for plans/features. So I guess in theory if enough people emailed/called they might change things in the future but probably not.

Really no point tothis other than it made me hate AT&T just a little bit less for the 5min I was on the phone with this guy, and it made me happy my email didn't just end up in the trash folder

I never knew phone companies employed dudes like that. I've also never heard a story about someone cALLING YOU BACK about a shitty email you wrote to them.

I'm on a family plan and it costs me $60 to have a smartphone.

Yea every time I receive an advertisement email from comcast I send them an email about how they can suck my cock because they don't offer any of the services and packages in my area tht they're marketig to me through me email. They've never bothered to call or write me back.

I was paying $120/mo for my wife and I to have iPhones. Should go down a bit since I'm switching her to the 200mb/mo plan as she literally uses 0mb every month. She's always on wifi when using her phone.

We each have the $5/200msg plan, though I'm guessing she'll wantto change that to get more now that her data plan will be less

Your monthly data usage is on your bill, I'd check it to see what you're using before changing anything

you can also check it in the AT&T mywireless app or whatever it's called

wifi from every imaginable spot is a given for me at home.

but on the other hand my home network is more complex than most small offices so I'm no benchmark here.
